Marti brings over thirty years of experience in marketing and strategic planning at an executive level, working with some of the largest for-profit and non-profit health care systems in the United States, including Cook Children’s Health Care System and Baylor Health Care System. Her expertise encompasses media and public relations, sales management, community and guest relations, telemarking, and research.
Marti has volunteered with Kids Matter for over seven years, in addition to Chairing the Marketing Committee and various fundraising activities for Kids Matter. She has always been a strong advocate for charitable work, previously working with Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas, First Friday Women’s Group, Project Hand-Up, Fort Worth Children’s Advocacy Center, and the Arthritis Foundation.
Mike is an original Board Member of Kids Matter. He has a strong passion for giving back to the community and believes in the work that Kids Matter is doing to empower children and enhance their lives. With nearly thirty-seven years of experience running multiple businesses, he is able to contribute his vision and strategic thinking to Kids Matter. He continues to make an impact in our local communities for kids. Mike continues to cultivate grassroots relationships with the communities in which Kids Matter serves and expand its programs.
In addition to his passion for charity work, Mike is an avid college baseball and football fan who loves to travel and ride ATVs. Mike and his wife, Kim, have four children and one grandson.
Bill graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He began his professional career with Johnson & Johnson, served as General Manager for the ClayDesta Corporation and then Bill went on to found Southwest Commercial Investments, Inc. (SCI). SCI exclusively represented First American Bank, First Gibraltar, FSB, Bank One, and Chase Bank in their disposition of assets in the West Texas markets. Bill relocated to Southlake, Texas and became Senior Vice President for Synergy Properties in Fort Worth.
Bill dedicates his time and resources to Kids Matter because they make a large impact in the lives of children in our local communities. Bill and his wife, Rexanna, have two beautiful daughters, Elizabeth and Taylor.
Mimi has always loved helping kids. When her husband started his own practice in pediatrics, their life revolved around children. As a previous volunteer for Children’s Medical Center and fundraiser for Our Children’s Center in Irving, she devoted her time to giving children a better life. Mimi is a former Board Member of Southlake Women’s Club, President of Carroll Education Foundation, Finance Chair of Irving Healthcare Foundation, Community Enrichment Center Big Brother/Big Sister mentor, and served on several other boards while her children were attending Carroll ISD.
In addition to her passion of donating her time to the community, Mimi is an avid tennis player. She and her husband, Trung, have lived in Southlake for over 15 years. Their two children currently attend UT Austin.
In addition to her active position on the Board of Directors at Kids Matter, Julie is owner of Julie Sullins Real Estate.
Julie has always had a passion for giving back. Previous to her involvement with Kids Matter, she has served the following organizations: Endowment Sponsor for Grapevine Colleyville Education Foundation, Council of PTA, LEAD 2021, YEA Mentor & Sponsor, Grapevine Chamber of Commerce, Burke Center, Head Start, North Place Nursing Home, Chi Omega Chair Career Development, Nacogdoches Human Resources, Miracle League of Southlake Supporter, Texas A&M Endowment, and a volunteer at Compass Church.
Julie enjoys getting up at 4:00 am to sweat it out at Camp Gladiator and while Julie is an SFA graduate, her husband’s dedication to A&M is obvious in their household.
Sandy worked in financial services for over ten years before starting her own business in commercial and small business lending. God has bestowed many blessings on the Boyd family, which has sparked her passion to give back and help others. Sandy had the honor of being on the Board of The Community Storehouse in Keller from 2010 – 2013. Their mission was to help children and families, during times of terrible hardship and need. Sandy is honored to have the opportunity to work with another amazing children’s charity, Kids Matter.
Prior to Kids Matter, Erin served as Chairperson for the Coalition to End Crimes Against Children, Secretary on the Child Abuse Prevention Committee, Young Alumni Coordinator for the ND Club of Dallas, and Religious Catechist at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She has served as Board Member for Kids Matter since 2014. Erin graduated from the University of Notre Dame, and is currently Chief of Sales and Marketing at AgriLogic Insurance Services, LLC.
Erin currently works in the Centerfield Office suites at Texas Rangers’ Stadium and loves to host Kids Matter and its affiliates as they cheer on the Rangers. She cherishes the close-knit relationships with her family in Florida and Kentucky, as well as the family-like relationships with her close friends and colleagues in Texas and beyond.
With over twenty-three years of experience, Troy has had a lifelong passion for helping people find their next home. As a lifelong resident of Dallas/Fort Worth, Troy has established personal relationships with many builders and craftsmen in the DFW area and his long-term career relationships with other top producing agents in the area, have given him a unique advantage in the real estate marketplace. As an award winning agent in Dallas/Fort Worth, he continues to build his skills and lead an office of 20 licensed agents.
Troy’s passion for serving the community is expanded with the work he does as a Board Member for Kids Matter. He is an advocate for the kids and committed to the mission of Kids Matter, Helping children in need by providing programs that empower them and enhance their lives. helping children in need.
Ron is an Entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in bringing innovative products to the marketplace. His background includes work in advanced wound care, cosmetic and OTC drugs, environmental products, and most recently, nutraceuticals.
Ron has been involved with Kids Matter since its inception in 2006. Over the years, he’s observed the growth of Kids Matter through his relationship with the Board of Directors. In 2017, Ron joined the Board and, along with this gifts of launching companies into success, he looks forward to helping Kids Matter grow in its evolution to a nationally recognized foundation.
Ron has been blessed with healthy children and resources; he wants to return this gift by giving back to the kids who need an extra lift in life.
Klint Guerry is the General Manager at Sewell Automotive Companies. He is highly regarded among his peers in the automotive industry for sales and customer retention. Klint began his career at Sewell as a Sales Associate, moving swiftly to Manager, and currently serving as General Manager of BMW of Grapevine. His number one goal is the satisfaction of Sewell’s clients. Klint graduated from American InterContinental University with a degree in business.
Mirrored from his professional career, Klint’s focus on helping others affects all areas of his life. He cares deeply about the well-being of his friends and family. Klint joined the board of Kids Matter this year, with the goal of serving his community. His passion for betting the youth in the North Texas community has greatly impacted Kids Matter’s success and continues to grow the impact Kids Matter has on it’s youth.
Rebecca Langston is a practicing attorney at Langston & Langston, PPLC in Jackson, Mississippi. Rebecca’s focus is birth trauma, representing the mothers and infants who have been injured or killed in the birth process. Along with personal injury, Rebecca represents a wide array of legal needs for her clients.
Rebecca graduated from the University of Mississippi and Mississippi College School of Law. Following her education, she achieved a handful of prestigious honors and awards, including the AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, Super Lawyers, and a member of Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Rebecca is currently serving as a member of numerous Boards and Associations.
Rebecca is an advocate for children, starting with her career and moving into her personal life. She cares deeply about the well-being our youth. Rebecca serves on the Board of Kids Matter, advising the focus and direction Kids Matter takes daily. Rebecca lives in Southlake, Texas with her family.
In addition to a background in charitable work with Kids Matter, Skip lead a successful career in aviation as an Air Traffic Control Specialist for the Federal Aviation Administration. Skip lives in Colleyville, Texas with his wife, Deanna. They are blessed with two beautiful children, one son and one daughter.
Tim graduated from the University of the South with Bachelors in Art and Psychology. Beginning his professional career first with Macy’s, Tim joined Kohl’s in 2004 as a District Manager. Today, Tim is the Senior Vice President/Territory 1 Manager at Kohl’s and is responsible for all stores in the South Central and Southeast. He leads teams through company initiatives, as well as participates in cross-functional projects with partners throughout the company.
In 2013, Tim was honored with the “Synergy” Award for his involvement with Kids Matter, specifically for the Around-The-Block program and event. Tim and Jana have two boys, Jack and Max, and reside in Southlake. They are active in several charities throughout the area, including Kids Matter.
Justin Nichol is the General Manager at Sewell Automotive Companies. Justin has worked with Sewell for numerous years and he is esteemed among his peers. Justin prides himself on serving his clients with the utmost respect and care at Sewell Cadillac of Grapevine.
Justin joined Kids Matter in 2018 as a Board Member and currently advises the organization on how to grow its outreach in the community. Justin works with others to help Kids Matter successfully impact the lives of thousands of youth each year.
